Monaco Optimist Team Race
10-13 January 2019

Sixty-four young sailors from all over the world (16 nations, four continents) are here to compete in the 10th Monaco Optimist Team Race. It’s an original race format for teams of four Optimist boats, supplied by Erplast, which promotes team spirit.

Of the 120 matches on the Round Robin programme to ensure all teams meet, only eight remain to be run tomorrow, Sunday, and they will decide the finalists.

However, some have taken the qualification option head on, teams like the Monegasques, currently lying equal on points in the lead with the Turks (13 wins) ahead of the American national team (12 points) and the Swedes (11 points).

Watch this space – the last day of racing starts tomorrow at 10.00am.
