‘Odyssey for the Future’ set to call into the Yacht Club de Monaco

Under the aegis of its Explorers Club and in collaboration with the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and Monaco port operators, SEPM, the Yacht Club de Monaco will welcome the Energy Observer and her crew from 14-21 December 2017.

The first hydrogen-propelled, totally energy-independent catamaran, led by offshore racer Victorien Erussard and explorer Jérôme Delafosse, will call into the YCM Marina on the 12th stop of her ‘Odyssey for the Future’. This is a six-year, round the world expedition which aims to explore innovative solutions for the environment.

A village set up on Quai Antoine Ier for the public will explain the project’s missions and how the Energy Observer operates.

“To obtain our energy from nature, without spoiling it; that is our vision of the future, and that is the vision we want to share with the whole world,” explains Victorien Erussard, a philosophy the Yacht Club de Monaco and Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation share through their actions.
