Victory to Credit Suisse Geneva

25th Challenge Inter-Banques – Trophée ERI
Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd July 2017

Twenty-five years already – a quarter of a century that the Monegasque banking sector have been taking to the water for the annual Challenge Inter-Banques – Trophée ERI, organised by the Yacht Club de Monaco and sponsored by financial software leader, ERI, under the patronage of AMAF (Association Monégasque des Activités Financières).

For the 2017 edition, 50 people divided into nine teams represented their respective establishments for an event that continues to grow.

Team spirit in the spotlight

Reserved exclusively for banking and financial institutions, the event aims to boost team spirit. Two days of racing on J/70s, made available free of charge by owners in the J/70 Monaco Class Association, were on the programme this weekend for a friendly yet often challenging competition.

Supremacy of Credit Suisse Geneva

Starting Saturday 1st July, competitors were out on the water for two races that were dominated from start to finish by Credit Suisse Geneva (Sopwith Camel) who had competed in the latest Primo Cup.

The next day, all nine boats set off for Cap d’Ail for the final event of the weekend, also won by Credit Suisse Geneva. On the menu: an inshore race from Monaco to Mala beach for lunch, served in a restaurant tucked into rocks right on the water, a beautiful location always much appreciated by all, before they raced back to the Yacht Club de Monaco.

Once again, it was a great weekend of pulling together as a team, with a goal in mind while having fun on the water, which is what sailing is all about.
